Sometimes in life, a break is needed- not just to relax the mind. It is needed to gain perspective on situations- situations which seem out of hand. Situations which are manageable but we often fret about. Situations where we often underestimate ourselves and become overly critical of ourselves- which demand a little self appreciation from our selves. Situations where we often prioritize people who do not even deserve our attention and overlook the ones we truly love. Situations where we doubt our own capabilities. Situations where we deprive ourselves from the little joys life offers. A sudden stalling in the journey of life rejuvenates and refuels us. It helps us regain our lost confidence, it makes us realize our self worth. It lets us enjoy the small shots of happiness life offers. It helps us in realizing what is important and what does not deserve our attention. It helps us introspect and figure out who truly valves us and who does not. Most importantly, it helps us understand that however important one’s work and duties might be ;nothing is more important than the self and the self’s all round well being-physical, mental and emotional. A break isn’t just a break- it’s a sieve which filters out despair, disappointment, toxicity, hopelessness, helplessness and pessimism and refills our life with hopefulness, joy, cheerfulness, zeal, will power, confidence and optimism. So the next time you feel that things are falling apart, that everything is messed up, that nothing is going according to you, that no one out there values you, that you are losing your confidence-remember that it’s time to take a BREAK!
